  Some gems from the "Anointed" WT study

  i know this has been discussed before, but i think some of these wacky (but thought-provoking) comments deserve their own thread.. paragraph 6 says: modestly, anointed ones acknowledge that they do not necessarily have more holy spirit than those with an earthly hope.

  they do not claim to have special knowledge or revelations; neither do they try to prove that they are in some way superior.

  somebody needs to send this memo to the gb.

  So why doe the bethel print out a brochure just for their beloved bethel family when one of the anointed passes away like John Barr and others? We saw the one on John Barr "who's earthly course had finally ended". Then, the older bethelite tells us he's up in heaven now receiving his heavenly reward. We were told the org publishes a brochure when one of their mentally imbalanced anointed ones pass away. They don't do it for all bethelite members yet their all suppose to be equal. They speak outside of both their mouths at the same time.

  It would only make sense to me that since it was Jesus father who picked him to be the Anointed One, and all authority has been given to Jesus in heaven and on earth, that it would be Jesus himself that would pick the 144,000. And who's to say that won't happen until he sets up his kingdom on earth. Ruling over the earth can also mean the ruling here on earth over the entire earth and not from heaven.

  In our old hall, they have an anointed member who refuses to use their silver sword and uses his King James bible only. He says the org's bible is a joke. He believes you have to be born again/die in order to inherit the kingdom and still believes that Jesus died on the cross. When ever he goes out in service he makes sure he writes a letter letting the householder know all what's wrong with the religion's doctrines. Yeah, he's definitely anointed.

  The only reason why the elders keep him working only with them is because his past religion is eighty percent of their territory and he's eighty years old. If he got df'd, the whole community/town would make quite a noise and bethel would want to know why the elders weren't on top doing something about this guy. It's a joke. This man had shown up on my doorstep the one night with a book on jw's. It was written by Russell Reed and so we traded books. He's read both of Ray Franz's books twice. Yep! For sure he's one of the org's annointed.

  First they say they are the faithful and discreet. Then they say all authority has been given to them in heaven and on earth(which Jesus stated for himself) Now they say the publishers are to minister to the holy ones which are them.(recent news at the Canadian zone visit), The bible states that we are to minister to Jesus.

  Just spoke to someone from our old hall and he said there was nothing interesting except when the brother went on about the publishers ministering to the holy ones. Guess who the holy ones are? The seven goons from Brooklyn. And how everyone is working as a united bunch. They also asked if they could give more whether out in service or $$$$ That's all we heard.

  And if I was to go along with the elders in Elmira, On congregation, I would have been an accessory to letting a guy who was just reinstated after approx fifteen years disfellowshipping

  while still smoking be allowed to get drunk and smash his wife's lincoln in by hand, he threatened to blow off his wife's face with a loaded hand gun (His father told us that one), had his high school employee forge his wife's name on a legal document, threatened to shoot and kill his father and fooled around on his wife. Yes, that certainly is showing brotherly affection for our elders, isn't it???

  Great! What's our punishment for bad breath after eating the garlic bread? And what about those that have no food and have to watch these idiots throw food in the garbage? They sure do love their brothers, don't they? I guess the bread that goes in the garbage gets sent to those now living on the streets after the big boot.

  slightly redacted for privacy of those involved.. so, this is "park witnessing" in oklahoma.. the parks in this community are basically walking trails and some tatty playground equipment.

  most of the time, sparsely used, and today was a very blustery day.. notice the justifying comment- "quite a few" checking out the cart.

  They gave that talk a few years back as a special talk on a Sunday following the memorial. I remember that well because I was lurking here and saw the thread. So we went into the hall that week and got out the bound book out of the library opened and left on the table. The elders were in a group panicking and wondering who did it with one holding the book in his hand. All five stooges were in the second school library looking through the glass at the rest of the congregation wondering. We had a good laugh that night on the way home.
